Student Conference Scholarships

    This is a scholarship for student members of the WPRA to attend the annual WPRA Conference. Please review the selection criteria used to determine award of Student Conference Scholarships. Then proceed to the online form at the bottom of the page to submit your application.

    Student 3-Day Scholarships include Wednesday lunch and Thursday dinner at the WPRA Conference but must be ordered on the registration form. No other meals are provided and if you do not mark the meal then a ticket is not provided.

    Approved student scholarship recipients are eligible to apply for Lodging Reimbursement up to $50 per person after attending the conference.

  • Criteria

    Applicants must be a registered student member of WPRA for the current year that the conference is being held.

    Additional Criteria (1-5 points awarded with 5 being the highest):

    • Written summary for participation: reason, presentation, organization, clarity and writing skills – 3 points.

    • Applicable volunteer or paid work. - up to 2 points

    After you are notified of Scholarship approval, you MUST register for the conference online on the WPRA website. https://www.wpraweb.org/annual-conference (Be sure to be logged into your WPRA account.) Please select the 'invoice me" option when registering, and then forward your invoice to WPRA Foundation Secretary Holly Glainyk: info@wprafoundation.org. Upon approval of your scholarship application, your registration fee will then be paid for by the WPRA Foundation.

    *Earlier submissions are encouraged to improve chances of receiving a scholarship and funds being available

    Students must meet the criteria and have a minimum score of 4 points to be considered for a WPRA Student Conference Scholarship. Scholarships will be awarded based on availability of funds from the WPRA Foundation.
